Introduction

What is electroluminescence?

The electroluminescence (EL) is a way to generate light by electrical excitation light-emitting phosphors. Similar to plasma TVs are backlit today.
In this case, the light-emitting phosphor is located between two electrically conductive plates. Applying an alternating current (AC) system is activated to produce light.
At least one of the electrodes is a light-transmitting conductive material that allows light to escape.
